"Alumni play a critical role in strengthening the relationship between Business Council members and our expansive alumni network. CHARITY FUNDRAISING
CHARITY FUNDRAISING RAISES DONATIONS EACH SEMESTER FOR BUSINESS COUNCIL’S SELECTED CHARITY. EACH SEMESTER, MEMBERS VOTE ON A NEW CHARITY, AND THE COMMITTEE PLANS FUNDRAISING EVENTS IN SUPPORT OF THAT CAUSE
"As Charity Fundraising Chairs, we are committed to supporting our semester
charity through donations and tabbed events both in the Council and out of the
Council. We are also dedicated to spotlighting our semester charity, highlighting
their impact to establish a stronger connection to the cause. Through the events we
hold, we desire to create excitement in the Council and boost our on-campus
reputation by showcasing our service impact. Our main goals are to introduce new exciting, value-add events to engage council members, other business fraternities, and the U of I community. "
COLLEGE RELATIONS
COLLEGE RELATIONS STRENGTHENS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN BUSINESS COUNCIL AND THE GIES COLLEGE OF BUSINESS. THE COMMITTEE HOSTS SIGNATURE EVENTS SUCH AS DINNER WITH GIES, THE JCPENNEY SUIT UP EVENT, AND A PROFESSOR-LED SPEAKER SERIES
"College Relations exists to strengthen Business Council’s ties with the Gies College of Business while creating meaningful connections across the broader University of Illinois community. Our goal is to balance existing faculty relationships with growing new partnerships beyond Gies, creating opportunities for members to learn, network, and grow. Together, we will bridge the gap between students and professors, broaden our reach across campus, and support the personal and professional development of our members."
